Alma Del Mar, Jr. is a 17 year old, skinny girl from Wyoming that doesn’t say much but gets her point across. Her daddy and momma got divorced when she was in her early teens and her momma remarried shortly after. Despite what she was told, she doesn’t know the real reason behind the split. She has a sister, Francine, but they are different as two sisters could be. She is named after her momma, but wishes she were born a boy so the junior could be after her daddy. She's a daddy's girl without much daddy-time, even before the divorce. She sees her daddy as the strong, silent type, but doesn't mind the silence. In this, and other respects, they are more similar than either of them will ever realize.
